BRASS CAMEL

Vancouver's Brass Camel is a rock band that defies labels, fusing deep-pocket funk, face-melting prog, and massive-harmony art rock. Their musicianship and work ethic have earned endorsements from Sabian, Rotosound UK, and Vater, and since releasing their debut album Brass in 2022, they’ve played over 150 shows, including three national Canadian tours, major festivals (Between the Peaks, Starbelly Jam, Wapiti), and stages like Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, Vogue Theatre, and a Toronto headliner at the historic Longboat Hall. In 2024, their cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s Please Please Please on Musora’s Covers Challenge took off on YouTube, drawing over 700,000 views. Their sophomore album Camel (spring 2025) brought international press, reaction videos, and steady LP sales. Their upcoming third album, mixed by the legendary Terry Brown (Rush, Hendrix, The Who, Blue Rodeo), further distills Brass Camel’s road-forged sound into something entirely their own.

CHOPPING SPREE

Chopping Spree blends genres at will, making every show a sight to see with their wild, intensely fun stage presence and captivating instrumental interplay. Just over a year into their musical journey, the band has hit the Vancouver music scene like a hurricane with over 1.5 organic million views on social media platforms and show after sold-out show proving anyone who doubted that people would mosh to jazz-fusion wrong. Their intoxicating mixture of infectious high energy hooks and jaw-dropping musicianship defies convention and makes it near impossible not to get up and move to their music. With their debut album “Anemoia” being released in January, and a slew of singles to follow throughout the year, Chopping Spree enters 2026 ready to take on whatever comes their way.

“Chopping Spree is one of the most exciting bands in Vancouver right now - their shows have an electricity that is magnetic. The energy and the fun they’re having on stage is infectious, the songs are catchy and groovy and heavy and smart, and the musicianship is unparalled. It’s no surprise that these guys have been blowing up in the scene lately. I love this band.”- Mike Allen (Five Alarm Funk)

“Seeing them play, the genre bending adage starts to make sense… You never know where the end of the song is going to go — a saxophone solo or an R&B rap? Or both? What you do know is that whatever you will hear will make you want to dance, mosh or sway along all at the same time.” -Jenni Nguyen (The Ubyssey)

“You can feel the different personalities of the members come to life on stage… Chopping Spree's approach has managed to make the genre blend accessible - their chemistry as a group allows their sound to evolve and it has become truly unique.” -Thomas James (Gigpit)

“The story of Chopping Spree is the story of the Vancouver Music scene. Hard work + talent = success. They've performed at numerous venues for Infidels Jazz over the last several months, with each show getting bigger and bigger. During this entire process I've been impressed with their dedication and professionalism, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for them.” -Tim Reinert
